Matt is a practicing PhD electrical engineer in the aerospace industry with a background in digital communication systems and information theory. He also served in the US Navy as a nuclear-trained submarine officer. His research interests include design of signal processing algorithms, machine learning and the application of signal processing techniques to genetics and other related areas in bioinformatics.
